How to put Widex hearing aids in pairing mode

  1. Turn off your Widex hearing aids

    For rechargeable models, place the hearing aids in the charger.

    For battery-powered models, open the battery doors.

  2. Activate pairing mode

    For rechargeable models, remove the hearing aids from the charger.

    For battery-powered models, close the battery doors. The hearing aids will automatically enter pairing mode for 3 minutes.

  3. Enable Bluetooth on your device

    Open the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone or compatible device and turn Bluetooth on.

  4. Search for devices 

    Wait for your Widex hearing aids to appear on the list of available devices.

    They will usually be listed as the model name (e.g., "Widex Moment").

  5. Pair the hearing aids

    Select the hearing aids from the list, and your device will pair with them.

How to connect Widex hearing aids to phone

Widex Widex Bluetooth hearing aids are designed to work with Widex mobile apps. With the app you can control and personalize your hearing aids sound settings.

When you pair your hearing aids to your Android and iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.) you're able to stream that audio directly into your hearing aids. 

To pair your phone with Widex hearing aids:

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your phone

    Go to your phone's settings, locate Bluetooth and turn it on.

  2. Put your hearing aids in pairing mode.

    - Non-rechargeable battery models: Open and close the battery compartment to turn them on, then press and hold the hearing aid button until you hear a beep or see a flashing light, indicating pairing mode.

    Rechargeable models: Turn them on with the power button and hold the button until you hear a beep or see a flashing light.

  3. Pair with your phone.

    - You should see your hearing aids listed under available devices on your phone's Bluetooth settings.

    - Tap on your hearing aids in the list to pair them.

    - You may need to confirm the pairing on your phone.

How to connect Widex hearing aids to laptop or computer

Pairing your Widex hearing aids is Bluetooth with your laptop or computer is possible, depending on your Widex hearing aid model.

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your computer.

    On Windows: Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices and toggle Bluetooth on.

    On Mac: Go to System Settings (or System Preferences) > Bluetooth and toggle it on.

  2. Put your Bluetooth hearing aids into pairing mode.

    Usually, this involves turning them off and back on. You can also refer to your user manual for specific instructions, or refer to pairing support information on our pages.

    Keep them close to your computer so they can be "discovered" by the device you're trying to pair them with.

    Select your hearing aids from the Bluetooth list when they appear in the list of available devices.

    If prompted for a code, try “0000” or consult your user manual.

  3. Confirm successful connection.

    Your computer may show a confirmation message.

    You can also check audio output settings on your computer to ensure your hearing aids are selected as the default audio device.

How to connect Widex hearing aids to TV

  1. Set up the TV streaming device

    Plug the Widex streaming device (TV-DEX or TV Play) into your TV’s audio output (e.g., optical or RCA).

    Connect the device to a power source and ensure it’s turned on.

  2. Activate pairing mode

    Refer to the device’s user manual for instructions on how to activate pairing mode.

    Typically, this involves pressing a button on the streaming device until a pairing indicator starts blinking.

  3. Pair your hearing aids

    Turn your hearing aids off and then back on (or open and close the battery door).

    Keep them close to the streaming device to allow the devices to detect each other.

    Once paired, you may hear a confirmation tone in your hearing aids or see an indicator on the streamer.

  4. Test the connection

    Play audio from your TV and check if you can hear it clearly through your hearing aids.

    Adjust the volume and sound settings on the streaming device or the Widex app, if available, to find your preferred sound level.

How to connect Widex hearing aids to Widex Sound Assist

  1. Charge and power on Sound Assist

    Charge Sound Assist fully according to the instructions in the user manual.

    Power on Sound Assist (usually by pressing and holding its power button).

  2. Prepare your hearing aids

    Open and close the battery door (for battery-powered aids) or power them off and on (for rechargeable aids) to put them into pairing/search mode.

    Keep your hearing aids close to Sound Assist—within a few inches—during pairing.

  3. Activate pairing mode on Sound Assist

    Press and hold the pairing or connect button on Sound Assist (check your manual for the correct button and duration).

    A light or audio cue should confirm that Sound Assist is now searching for hearing aids.

  4. Confirm connection

    Wait for a beep or notification in your hearing aids indicating they’ve connected.

    Sound Assist may also have a light or indicator showing that the connection is successful.

  5. Test the connection

    Play audio (e.g., music on your phone connected to Sound Assist) or make a phone call.

    Confirm the sound is streaming through your Widex hearing aids.

    Adjust volume or settings as needed, either on the Sound Assist or via any connected app (if applicable).
