How to insert Signia hearing aids?

  1. Inserting behind-the-ear (BTE) models

    - Identify the left (blue) and right (red) markers on the devices.

    - Place the hearing aid behind your ear, with the tubing or receiver wire resting comfortably over and in front of your ear.

    - Gently insert the earpiece or dome into your ear canal until it feels secure.

    - Adjust the retention hook (if applicable) to keep it in place

  2. Inserting in-the-ear (ITE) or completely-in-canal (CIC) models.

    - Identify the left (blue) and right (red) markers on the devices.

    - Hold the hearing aid between your thumb and forefinger.

    - Gently insert it into your ear canal, following the natural shape.

    - Push gently until it sits snugly and comfortably without forcing.


  • Remember

    Always wash your hands before inserting your hearing aids. To get comfortable inserting hearing aids, practice in front of a mirror. For additional help, consult your Signia user manual or Hearing Care Professional.
Taking off Signia hearing aids

How to take off your Signia hearing aids

  1. Hold the hearing aid

    Grasp the body of the Signia hearing aid behind the ear with your fingers.

  2. Pull the earpiece

    Gently pull the earpiece out of the ear canal.

  3. Put down the hearing aid

    Carefully place the hearing aid down to avoid dropping or damaging it.
  • Remember

    Always wash your hands before removing your hearing aids. After removal, clean them according to your manual. and store them in a dry case to protect them from moisture and dust.

How to turn on Signia hearing aids

  1. Non-rechargeable hearing aids

    - For most Signia models, opening and closing the battery door turns the hearing aid on.

    - If you need to put in a new battery, open the battery compartment and place a fresh battery inside. Ensure the + side of the battery is facing up. Close the battery door completely.

    - Some models may require pressing and holding a power button to turn them on.

  2. Rechargeable hearing aids

    - Rechargeable models turn on automatically when removed from the charger.

    - Some models may require pressing and holding a power button to turn them on.

How to reset/restart Signia hearing aids

To restart Signia hearing aids:

  1. Turn your devices off.

    For non-rechargeable models, open the battery compartment to turn off the hearing aid. If it’s a rechargeable model, turn it off by putting it in the charging case or using its power button.

  2. Leave the device off for about a minute.

How to adjust Signia hearing aid volume?

Adjusting the volume on Signia hearing aids can typically be done in a few simple ways, depending on the model you have:


  1. On the hearing aid itself

    Many Signia hearing aids come with physical volume control buttons or a dial. You can press the button or turn the dial to increase or decrease the volume.

    Generally, one button will adjust the volume up and another will adjust it down.

  2. Remote control
     

    If your hearing aids are compatible, you might have a dedicated remote control that can adjust the volume as well as other settings like program modes.

  3. Smartphone apps

    For more advanced models, you can use the Signia app on your smartphone to adjust the volume.

    The app provides a user-friendly interface where you can slide your finger to adjust the volume to your preferred level.

How to charge Signia hearing aids

  1. Prepare the charging station

    Place the charging station on a stable, flat surface near a power outlet. Ensure the area is dry and away from direct sunlight.

  2. Connect the charging station
     

    Plug the charging station into the electrical outlet using the power adapter provided with your hearing aids.

  3. Place the hearing aids in the charging station
     

    Open the charging slots and carefully place each hearing aid in the designated slot.

  4. Charging process
