  2. The app name should be clearly indicated on your hearing aid packaging or user manual

How to know if your phone is hearing aid compatible

To determine if your phone is hearing aid compatible (HAC), follow these steps:

  1. Look for the HAC rating

Phones with hearing aid compatibility will have an "M" (microphone) and "T" (telecoil) rating, typically listed on the phone's packaging or user manual.

Ratings range from M1 to M4 (higher is better) and T1 to T4.

Phones rated M3/T3 or higher are generally suitable for most hearing aids.

  2. Try the phone in the store

Many retailers allow you to test phones with your hearing aids to ensure clear sound quality without interference.

  3. Search online

Look for "HAC" or "hearing aid compatible" in the phone's technical specifications on the manufacturer's website.

  4. Ask your hearing care professional

They can help identify phones that work well with your hearing aids, especially if your hearing aids support Bluetooth.
